Caron: I want to thank you now, while it is all so fresh in my mind, for the wonderful job you and the band did. The evening was a success in large part because of you. Somehow you managed to handle the disparate ages, cultures, dancing styles, and levels of enthusiasm and meld them all so that everyone had a good time. I mean everyone. I don't know that I've had such a good time myself in a very long time. Even my dad, who told me emphatically the day before the party that his back was hurting and that he would not dance, was out there and wouldn't sit down. My parents were raving about the dancing! I posted on our list serve a few months ago looking for a band for my father-in-law's birthday party, and wanted to let the readers know that we ended up with a great ensemble through Dale Entertainment. Many neighborhood parents know singer Caron Dale as a wonderful early childhood music specialist. She's also a member of the band. They played a wide range of genres: jazz, swing, Motown, classic rock and got everyone up and dancing. They were able to work within our budget and helped make the party a night to remember.

The Fairfax County Park Authority presents concerts in the parks every summer. We will present over 200 different artists, ranging from Zydeco to classical, pops to punk, rock to Klezmer. For each new season of concerts, we seek new artists who can provide the quality and diversity that our sophisticated Fairfax County audiences expect. Out with the old, in with the new.
Somehow, Lox & Vodka is always new! This group of talented, personable and professional artists makes Klezmer music sound new every time. For some, bread and salt are staples. For the Park Authority concert series, Lox & Vodka are staples, their music salty and intoxicating.

What a wonderful celebration we had! Leah's Bat Mitzvah was more than we could have ever hoped for, everyone felt a part of things, no matter their religion or age. So many of my guests have mentioned to me what a warm, inclusive event we had, which is no small feat with 160 people and it's all thanks to you.
The most unforgettable part of the party for me was when you had our all of our guests form a big circle (which took up the whole room) before you taught us the Israeli dance steps and you told Leah to take a moment to look around and see all her family and friends who had come to celebrate with her. A number of our guests were moved to tears at that moment.
Thank you for being so amazingly energetic and helpful beginning with the planning process and throughout the entire event. From managing 70 kids to personalizing the candle lighting to accommodating all of Leah's special requests, you helped us create truly wonderful memories.

A very special thanks to you and the band for transforming our event at the Ratner Museum into a very special Bar Mitzvah celebration for David. Our guests of all ages took delight in the music, your energy/enthusiasm, and successful efforts at getting everyone up and dancing. The kids loved the games, and the adults enjoyed the nostalgic background music. The teaching dance numbers were a lot of fun. And our opening remarks were nicely accented with the band music.
Everything went off flawlessly -- OK with the possible exception of my starting to do the blessings out of order! I am also so appreciative of your performing Lee Ann Womack's "I Hope you Dance." My dancing along with David to this number was unanticipated and a very special way to end the evening. Thank you and the others for EVERYTHING!

What a pleasure it was to once again share our simcha with Lox & Vodka. You made Rebecca and Ian's wedding such a special day for all of us. We received many compliments about what a warm, joyous wedding it was. Most of the comments were about the fantastic job you did. I knew we were going to have a difficult crowd to work with (especiallly Table 4), but I also knew you were the one who could get them out of their seats to participate in the celebration. Ernie and I wanted you to know how delighted we were with your music, your spirit, and your willingness to handle all scheduled 'events' at Candi and David's wedding reception! The most common thing I have heard from people about our wedding is how FABULOUS the band was and more specifically, how much you in particular Caron added to the wedding. So many people said they had never been to a wedding where everyone was up and dancing and having so much fun. You really did an unbelievable job -- "impressed", "grateful", "overwhelmed" don't even begin to sum up how we feel about you and your performance.
